FORWARDS has revealed today that UNDERWORLD, the iconic electronic duo, has been added to the Sunday bill for the 2024 festival lineup following their international tour. This will be UNDERWORLD’s only Bristol performance for 2024.
With a rich legacy spanning over three decades, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith better known as Underworld, persistently challenge conventions and redefine electronic and dance music with their unparalleled ingenuity. This eagerly awaited occasion heralds Underworld’s sole live appearance in Bristol for 2024, promising an unforgettable experience for fans and music enthusiasts alike.
A replacement for Maribou State is soon to be announced following the cancellation of the duo’s 2024 shows. The final acts for the music programme will also be announced in the coming days.
UNDERWORLD will be joining headliners LOYLE CARNER and LCD SOUNDSYSTEM alongside JESSIE WARE, FOUR TET and FLOATING POINTS. As well as ROMY, GREENTEA PENG, YUSSEF DAYES, YARD ACT, NUBYA GARCIA, HAK BAKER, CRAZY P, MRCY, JERSEY, BAXTER DURY, CMAT, HOLYSSEUS FLY and DA FUCHAMAN & THE FIRE BLAZE BAND with more names to be announced.
FORWARDS is celebrated as one of the UK’s most progressive new festivals, by placing a genre-spanning international music programming side by side with social initiatives, timely debate, local food and beverage, and a future-thinking kids area.

Offering a packed lineup of international music acts with headliners LCD Soundsystem and Loyle Carner, supported by the likes of Floating Points and Yard Act. The two day festival will also see timely debate and conversation on the INFORMATION, providing an important platform for discussion and will be featuring a host of experts, disruptors, creatives, writers and thinkers”.
Saturday tickets are currently at £69.70+BF and Sunday tickets are currently £59+50+BF, weekend tickets available from £115.34. Concessions are available for children aged 5-17, local residents and low income individuals, FORWARDS also offers discounted tickets for NHS via Concert for Carers. As in 2023, FORWARDS will offer discounted NHS tickets to those that work there. This is their small way of saying thanks for all the hard work and dedication.
