Review – La Dame Blanche at The Jam Jar, Bristol

Jam Jar 14th July 2023

La Dame Blanche the Cuban singer, flautist and percussionist burst onto stage at the Jam Jar on thursday night bringing sounds from many genres.. latin beats, hip hop, cumbia, reggae, dancehall and rap all with a pinch of caribbean influence. The energy was infectious and she flew straight into her set wasting no time, plastered in confidence looking incredible.

A roaring stage precense that brings with it a powerful message of female empowerment.

During the set she was like a tornado, energy levels never dipping. She did not stop dancing and blasting out powerful lyrics, whipping out the flute to blow us all away. Even pulling out out a bottle of Havana rum halfway through the set to water some dried mouths. The cuban passion bomb now residing in Paris was joined on stage by drummer Valentin Provendier and a guitarist Marc Damble from Paris both were outstanding with their timings and style. I had a great night at the Jam Jar and left exhausted but uplifted. Superb artists and genuinely beautiful people. Thank you @ladameblanche13 @valentinprovendier @babylotionmusic bon voyage!
