Bavaria to Bristol: Propyard’s Hoptoberfest returns this November with a special DJ set from IDLES

Tickets are on sale for another spectacular edition of Propyard’s infamous Hoptoberfest, returning on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 November 2023 as it brings the best of Bristol’s beer and music scene together

Back by hop-ular demand, one of Bristol’s leading craft beer festivals is back for an Oktoberfest celebration, serving up steins of craft beers and ciders from Bristol and beyond’s finest breweries. With a side of bratwurst and an oom-pah band to complete the celebrations, expect classic tunes to pump out throughout the day with a headline DJ set from Bristol’s iconic IDLES. Known for their hardcore, gutsy and raw performances, frontman Joe Talbot will be taking the decks on Saturday 11th November, and MBE Norman Jay will be bringing the (Mister) Good Times on Friday night.

Early Bird tickets are on sale for £35 which will give beer lovers access to all-you-can-drink beer and cider from the crème de la crème of the brewing scene, all served up in Bavarian steins. The two-day event will feature drinks from the very best of Bristol’s indies, plus breweries from further afield who will be providing unlimited pours, allowing guests to sample each beverage and get the full experience of Hoptoberfest. For anyone who isn’t a fan of beer (if that’s even a thing?) cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks will also be available over the weekend.

Expect delicious-draughts from Arbor Ales, Left Handed Giant, Wiper & True, Lost and Grounded, Fierce & Noble, Brick Brewery, JUBEL, Hackney Church, Bristol Cider Company, Ciderbox, Electric Bear, Beyond Belief Brewing, Kicking Goat Cider and By The Numbers Brewing as well as some mouth watering street food including German bratwurst and schnitzel.

There are three sessions and visitors can either attend Friday’s night session from 6pm – 11pm, Saturday’s day session from 12pm – 5pm, Saturday’s night session from 6pm – 11pm or all three sessions.

Taking place at Propyard’s multi-purpose space in the heart of Bristol, Hoptoberfest will be held in the venue’s impressive Crane Room. With a full brewery line-up yet to be announced as well as food traders and music, it’s time to dust off the Lederhosen, grab an early bird and join Propyard this November for the ultimate beer, food and music event in the social calendar.

Early-bird tickets are now available to purchase for Hoptoberfest on the Propyard website for just £35 plus booking fee. Second release tickets will be £40 plus booking fee. For more information and updates, follow Propyard on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
