RITUAL UNION ANNOUNCES FINAL WAVE OF ARTISTS
Ritual Union Festival returns to Bristol at the end of this month. This year, the multi-venue event takes place in SWX, Rough Trade and Strange Brew. Each room has a stacked and diverse line-up with more additions just being announced.
Billy Nomates headlines the main room in SWX ahead of the release of her upcoming third album. CVC, who have just been added to the Radio 2 playlist, will be on just before her. The likes of Gurriers, Getdown Services, Keg and Paige Kennedy have all been building a reputation as essential live acts and will all be appearing across the two rooms in SWX where stages times are staggered so that there are no clashes between the two rooms – you could watch 16 acts there without even venturing to the other venues.
You will, however, want to factor in the other venues. Ritual Union have just announced the brilliant Our Girl as headliners in Rough Trade with genre-blending Fletchr Fletchr, post-hardcore The Shania Twainsaw Massacre and cosmic pop duo, Mumble Tide, among the eclectic bill there.
Indie rock duo, Wings of Desire, headline the wonderful Strange Brew (and you’ll still have time to get over to Billy Nomates afterwards). Timeless R&B singer, MT Jones, has just joined the line-up there alongside Green Man rising champions, Eve Appleton Band, Bossa-Nova indie band The Parallels, and exciting Windmill breakouts The Orchestra (For Now).
Ritual Union has become an essential part of the city’s busy music calendar, showcasing an enormous range of the best music from Bristol and beyond. Last year’s event was well organised with a real sense of community spirit from the friendly, music-loving crowd.
