TICKETS FOR ALL EVENTS ARE ON SALE NOW

Simple Things Festival completes its line-up with a fantastic second wave announcement of talent for the main day of its 2025 edition. Taking place on Saturday, November 8th, the 11th edition of this year’s event will feature 50+ live acts performing in some of Bristol’s most-loved city centre spaces.

On the new announcement and taking centre stage on Bristol Beacon Hall in the afternoon is Nala Sinephro, having taken the avant-jazz world by storm with her incredible 2024 album Endlessness. Combining traditional instrumentation with modular synths, her otherworldly sound will be brought to life on the incredible Bristol Beacon sound system for a musical journey of craft and introspection.

Closing The Beacon Hall will be the powerful sonics of The Bug with a full MC rollout of Flowdan, Warrior Queen, Manga St Hilaire, Logan and Magagu. The Bug, AKA Kevin Martin, has been a long-term affiliate of the festival for years and brings the largest emancipation of his show to the big stage. A low-end assault, this is one of electronic music’s heaviest shows and will be a fitting way to close out Simple Things 2025.

Other newly confirmed acts include the long-time Warp Records affiliate Clark, whose status as one of electronic music’s most enduring and gifted composers is assured. Former Crack Magazine cover star Blackhaine brings his visceral explorations of working-class identity and experimental sound to this year’s event, in what will no doubt be a talking-point show of the day. Jadu Heart’s dream-like sound and presentation will no doubt win them yet more new followers, new XL signing KeiyaA’s beautiful vocal explorations will be a popular draw, and aya’s DJ Set in the amazing Cellars of the Beacon will be a must-see for fans of their fantastic and much lauded new album Hexed!. Six-time World Snooker Champion, now turned analogue synth enthusiast, DJ and Bristol resident Steve Davis has revealed his curated line-up of acts – Graham Dunning and Strictly Kev (AKA DJ Food), jb glazer & Sculpture.

Other new names include: 15 15, Adult DVD, Deki Alem, Eiko Ishibashi, Fatboi Sharif, HAAL, Kayla Painter, Lover’s Skit, Kelan, Lea Sen, My First Time, Nadah El Shazly, Niontay, No Windows, Pan Amsterdam, Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith Present Disiniblud, Run Logan Run, TEKE::TEKE and Vlure.

These new names join the first wave of confirmed acts, which featured the likes of: Dry Cleaning, Factory Floor, Mechatok, Rich(ard) Dawson, These New Puritans, Tunde Adebimpe, The Orielles, Smerz, Decius (LIVE) and Iglooghost.

Simple Things’ weeklong programme is now complete with the previous release of five standalone shows in and around the main event. These shows are: Moin (Nov. 4th), John Maus (Nov. 5th), Autechre (Nov. 6th), Daniel Avery (Nov. 7th), and Joep Beving (Nov. 9th), and showcase Simple Things’ continued commitment to hosting the best forward-facing music in the city.

As ever, Simple Things will host a nighttime programme with several specially selected afterparties, which will be announced at the end of summer.

In its previous editions, Simple Things has featured some of the most groundbreaking artists from around the world in Bristol. Skepta & JME, Holly Herndon, Savages, Death Grips, Nicolas Jaar, Fontaines D.C, Ben UFO, Objekt and Helena Hauff, alongside hundreds of other acts, have all performed at the previous ten events, showcasing Simple Things’ incredible ability to craft immaculate line-ups that often predict the brightest new stars in contemporary music.
