A Weekend in The City: Siren announces Bloc Party as first headliner for 2025
The Good News… is Siren Bristol is back and Bloc Party is bringing the energy for the ultimate summer gig on the Harbourside on Friday 25 July 2025
Siren, Bristol’s iconic summer time gig series on the harbour, is ready to keep the vibes buzzing as it announces indie-electronic legends Bloc Party as its first headliner on Friday 25 July 2025. Known for their genre-blurring sound and high-energy performances, Bloc Party promises an unforgettable show as they crank up the heat at Bristol’s Amphitheatre.
Celebrating 20 years of Silent Alarm, the album that influenced a generation, Bloc Party’s Siren performance promises to be a landmark moment. With hits like Banquet, Helicopter and Blue Light, their signature blend of raw guitar riffs, unmatched beats and soulful lyrics has continually pushed the boundaries of dance-rock. As the band takes the Harbourside stage to deliver the perfect soundtrack for a summer night in one of Bristol’s most iconic settings, fans can expect a mix of nostalgia and energy that will define this year’s Siren experience.
A summer staple on Bristol’s cultural calendar, Siren celebrates the best in dance music, bringing together international stars and underground legends. Following previous year’s performances from the likes of Sean Paul, Wilkinson, Fabio & Grooverider, Sugababes and Andy C, Siren continues to build its reputation as a go-to summer event for music lovers and alfresco ravers.
Tom Hoyle, Co-Founder of Siren, said: “We’re absolutely buzzing to have Bloc Party headline Siren. They’ve been such a big part of so many people’s lives and having them play here at the Bristol Amphitheatre where music and culture run so deep – feels massive! Bloc Party on the Harbourside, with that incredible energy and the sun setting in the background, is going to be unforgettable.”
Kele Okereke, lead singer and guitarist in Bloc Party, said: “When we did the Silent Alarm tour I had to listen to that record from start to finish. I haven’t really done that since it was made. I think that kind of energy we felt when we were performing those songs went some way into informing where we went next… That process definitely informed the music on some level.”
Pre-sale tickets for Bloc Party’s headliner event will be available from Monday 13 January at 6PM with a sign up link here. General sale tickets live from Tuesday 14 January on the Siren website. Tickets start at £45, with more industry titans to be revealed soon to complete the ultimate summer lineup.
