“Energy, technique, ability, funk, soul, rock – Philip Sayce has it all.”  – My Global Mind

Following his critically acclaimed November 2023 UK tour, including a sold-out performance at The Garage in London, celebrated guitarist and vocalist Philip Sayce returns to the UK for another tour that kicks off at Leeds Brudenell Social Club on Thursday November 21, 2024. Tickets are available from thegigcartel.com and philipsayce.com.

Philip will also play Planet Rockstock Festival on Friday November 29.  Tickets go on sale at www.planetrock.com/tickets.

The 10-date tour will see Sayce perform songs from his forthcoming full-length album, The Wolves Are Coming, and selected songs from his previous releases. Sayce’s special guest on his forthcoming UK tour (with the exception of Planet Rockstock) is British slide guitarist Troy Redfern.

Sayce is no stranger to accolades. Rock and Blues Muse recently declared, “Philip Sayce stands on the edge of hard rock and psychedelia, slinging guitar riffs past your ears at warped speed.”

The Wolves Are Coming follows his Spirit Rising (2020), his seventh full-length album released by Warner Music during the pandemic, and currently has over 14 million streams on Spotify.

“Last November’s UK tour (2023) was a revelation,” says Philip. “I hadn’t toured the UK for several years, and the reaction we received from the UK audiences was overwhelming. Our UK friends and fans are always so gracious, supportive, and welcoming. I am looking forward to touring the UK in November 2024. We are going to light it up with everything we’ve got. Are you ready?”

The band consisting of Philip Sayce (vocals, guitar), Sam Bolle (bass), and Bryan Head (drums) will perform tracks from Sayce’s rich back catalogue of albums, including Spirit Rising and Peace Machine, as well as Influence and Steamroller which were produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer, Dave Cobb.

Based in Los Angeles, California, Sayce is the protégé of multi-platinum guitar legend Jeff Healey and GRAMMY and Academy Award-winning superstar Melissa Etheridge. Born in Wales, raised in Toronto, Canada, and also an American citizen based in Los Angeles, Philip’s love of the guitar started at an early age when his parents introduced him to the greats early on; notably, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, Jeff Healey, Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, and Eric Clapton.

Over the past two decades, Sayce has performed at the world’s most prestigious stages — from the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland with Healey to a victorious night at the Oscars in the heart of Hollywood with Etheridge when she won best song for “I Need To Wake Up” from the film “An Inconvenient Truth” where Sayce’s guitar playing shines. Sayce also worked with multi-platinum artist, Uncle Kracker, appearing on the album No Stranger To Shame. During this time, the powerful cover of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” set a Billboard record for most weeks at #1 on any chart for a staggering 28 weeks in the United States.

Sayce’s heralded performances at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, The Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, the Dallas International Guitar Festival in Texas, and a devastating house-shaking appearance at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival in New York City have left audiences stunned and amazed. At a GRAMMY event, Jon Bon Jovi told the audience, “I want to give a special nod to Philip, who I immediately opened the program and said, ‘Who the fuck is that guitar player?’ Pretty fabulous, Philip.”

” Sayce performed Oh! That Bitches Brew. An instant hit, a real dirty driving hard rock number littered with fiery lead breaks over thepounding rhythm.” – Rockposer

“Philip Sayce is a bold blues player who creates atmospheres with sonic textures. When the mood takes him, and it frequently does, Sayce extends his fingers into the heavens and takes fire from the sun. Oh my!” – Raw Ramp
