Review – Polly Pik Pocketz

The Crofters Rights, March 23rd 2022

The Lips Can Kill 2 tour stream rolled its way into Bristol on Wednesday night.
Four headliners in their own right that had been rotating slots throughout the tour. Bristol was the turn of London Punk outfit Polly Pik Pocketz to open..

Cranked to the max from the get go we get “Handz Off Muthafukka” followed straight away by “Headz Down” It felt like a “c’mon then Bristol let’s ave ya” in the best old skool punk way.

PPP are a traditional punk band that play the game how it was meant to be played. Gritty , sticky carpet , sweaty Friday night punk at its very best. The band oozes charisma as they bash our senses with “Bridezilla” and the ear worm of the set “Sick To The Core”
(I was still singing this to myself the next day)

A explosion of colour like Camden Town had set up camp in central Bristol with a band member that paid more than a passing resemblance to Trevor from GTA 5 (work it out for yourselves)

Why can’t all bands be this much fun?

Closing up with “Fuck You” and “Waving” and leaving me with a desire to catch them again.
Punk will never die whilst we have bands like this keeping it well n truly alive, thanks Polly Pik Pocketz
