Yur Mum is hot!
The final act of the Bristol leg of the “Lips Can Kill Tour” utterly blew us away and left us well and truly tropically fuzzed out of our tiny minds.
A duo in the vein of Royal Blood, bringing a wall of heavy rock noise courtesy of the demon drumming of Fabio Couto. And the James Hetfield-esque swagger and insane vocals of Anelise Kunz.
Throw in some Brazilian colour, mix in a touch melodic grooves with a dash of punk and you have something very special indeed. Enough to get me to download everything I could lay my hands on the very next day.
“Banana Republic” & “Tropical Fuzz” are insane live, “Happy Mantra” & “Je Ne Sais Pas” the highest quality, but oh my wait till you hear “Black Rainbow” dirty, filthy, grimy in all the best possible ways.
Yur Mum have tripped me up, stood on my neck and screamed in my face until I rightfully accepted them into my current top ten of bands. Exceptional…absolutely exceptional…
