DEBUT UK HEADLINE TOUR FOR MAY 2023
+ ADDED TO THE LINE UP FOR THE GREAT ESCAPE IN BRIGHTON
SIGNS TO PARTISAN RECORDS
AND SHARES FIRST SINGLE FOR THE LABEL:
“VERONICA MARS”
A taut and hypnotic slow-build of a track that erupts into a pulsing guitar freakout, with subtly stated lyrics depicting how the media conditions us as children, this will be her first release since signing to Partisan Records.

In addition to the new single, Blondshell will head to the UK and Europe for her debut headline tour, which spans 10 dates including a show at the Moth Club in London. The run of dates is bookended by festival slots at The Great Escape in Brighton, and performances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Madrid. For a full list of shows, please see below.
With three self-released singles dropped to date (Olympus, Kiss City, Sepsis), and a recent Spotify Single (Cartoon Earthquake), Veronica Mars signals another telling stepping-stone in Blondshell’s impressive introduction. The past few months have seen Blondshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum) and her band open for Porridge Radio across the US, and make a whistle-stop debut over in London. With a debut headline show in New York long since sold out for tomorrow (7th December), and the support of Partisan Records (IDLES, Beth Orton, Fontaines D.C., Laura Marling), the next twelve months already feel very well poised.
Blondshell explains, “I was obsessed with the [US teen drama] show ‘Veronica Mars’ as a kid and I was revisiting it around the time I wrote this song. I wanted to sing about that childhood era when I was being exposed to a lot more than I was comfortable with. ‘Gimme shelter’ refers to the song but I’m also saying please give me shelter from graphic TV and film, from New York City, overwhelming lyrics, etc. I think the song is just about having my boundaries crossed and the effects of those transgressions (for example, growing up to think men are hot if they’re assholes).”
In January, Blondshell will hit the road as the support for Suki Waterhouse’s North American tour, ahead of a Spring in the UK/Europe. Tickets go on sale for the headline dates from Friday 9th December at 10am via Blondshellmusic.com.
