MISERY KIDS – I LOVE THE TASTE – OUT NOVEMBER 25TH Emo-pop duo Misery Kids release their brand new single ‘I Love The Taste‘ on Friday 25th November. ‘I Love The Taste’ is an addictive and vibrant synth-pop anthem. The infectious vocal melodies combine perfectly with the dazzling synths, bright guitar tones and grooving drum beats. The chorus is executed in a signature MK fashion, comprising of snappy hooks and dulcet harmonies that will stick in your head for days. Dig a little deeper and you will find there is much more to this track than just a great pop song. Darker elements within the captivating lyrics take you on a confessional journey of inner vulnerabilities, reoccurring bad habits and painful heartache. Speaking on the themes behind the single, the band shared, “None of us are perfect, and whether we like to admit it or not, we all have skeletons in our closet. In today’s society, expectations are set so high and recently those pressures and doubts feel more prevalent than ever. We are here existing, seeking happiness and sometimes that feeling can only be obtained by a momentary escape, a brief fix in an overwhelming reality.” Misery Kids have been busy on the road in 2022 after the success of their previous single releases ‘Turn Off The Lights’ and ‘Without You’, which earned them support tours alongside pop-punk giants The Summer Set in June and alt-pop rising stars Bears In Trees in November. It’s clear to see a dedicated fanbase is forming and it won’t be long until the band is ready to embark on headline performances. Stay tuned for more exciting news from this impressive duo. |
