Our GIG OF THE WEEK!!! this week is a Halloween special as West Country metalheads Poison Crow headline a sold out show at The Gryphon. Ably supported by Smile More, Moon Reaper and Swine
Initially forming in 2016 with founder members Sirin Bozkurt (vocals/lyrics) and Jack Mandrupson (drums) the current line up has been settled for the whole of 2019 with the additions of Charlie Jones (bass) and Joe Taylor (guitar).
The Bristol Gig Guide became aware of Poison Crow when they supported local artist Melodi at The Louisiana a few months ago. And made a promise that as soon as they headline in Bristol we will be there to cover them, such was the impression they made on us.
With influences ranging from Slipknot, System of a Down, Korn and Tool you can be sure of a heavy edge with attitude and stage presence.
Sirin and the boys will blister your ears with heavy riffs, tons of groove, dynamic vocals that range from catchy melodies to all out screams.
We recommended PC as a must watch live band and Sirin has mentioned that their music is indeed put together with live shows in mind. Dark, foreboding, in your face and high energy will make the perfect mix for this All Hallows Eve.
All of us at TBGG are very much looking forward to this. And with the show selling out very quickly, it suggests the rest of Bristol are as well.
