What does Erotic Secrets of Pompeii sound like though? Try self – styled, experimental post punk, garage fused, art rock with thick basslines, noisy synths, frantic beats and arch vocals..
If that doesn’t prick your interest you’re most likely dead.
Influenced by the likes of Talking Heads, Nick Cave and Peter Gabriel, the south west five piece, consisting of Thom (Vocals, samples, percussion), Sean (guitar), Tom (Guitar, synths, BVs), Tim (drums) and Mole (bass), have amassed a steady and growing following across the area with their aggressive-yet-catchy music.
Forming in early 2018, the boys played it cool. Choosing not to perform live until early 2019. The years worth of rehearsals and recording culminating the release of debut album “Witness in the house of Pox” in March. And insuring a tightness in their exuberant live shows.
It was footage of these shows that meant The Bristol Gig Guide have been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to cover the band. And why we have chosen them as the feature artist for our next “Amped Up” in Bristol series in conjunction with Hot Wax UK.
