GIG OF THE WEEK!!! Pompadour

Friday 7th of February @Mothers Ruin

Oh Bristol….

We have been waiting for this one for a long, long time.

Pompadour have been on our must feature list for MONTHS now. And finally the stars have aligned to allow us to feature Tamsin (Vocals, Bass), Kearney (Guitar) and Toby (Drums) in full.

Pompadour head to The Mothers Ruin this Friday at the invitation of ThisFeeling.co.uk , that alone should tell you how hot this band is right now. Let alone the plaudits and plays from the likes of BBC 6 music, Planet Rock, BBC Upload and BBC Introducing.

Forming in 2018, they released their debut single, “Violet” in Feb 2019, garnering stellar reviews across the board. They received their first national airplay on Planet Rock’s ‘New Rock Show’ soon afterwards. This was shortly followed by glittery anthem “Oh, Honey!” in April 2019, which Adam Crowther (BBC Upload) dubbed “absolutely huge”. Their newest release, debut EP, “Cut to the Chase” has already turned heads, with the track “Catch Me If You Can” being spun by BBC Introducing, and Point Blank being aired on Planet Rock as well as many Independent Online Radios.

With genre influences as diverse as 80’s hair rock, classical and Indie Pompadour meld an already polished style and live performance with writing inspired by the likes of Alex Turner and Declan McKennna.

The sound? Think Artic Monkeys, Royal Blood and hints of the newer Paramore.

The live show? Explosive indie rock with attitude. Expect tune after tune and to go home with songs such as “Point Blank, Veronica and Catch me if you can” lodged in your brain.

There is a reason the “Cut to the chase” EP is on constant loop in the car. It’s superb. And we are very excited by the chance to watch it performed in all it’s live glory.

The gig will also feature the superb talents and sounds of The Dead Freights, Muncle and The Fools Paradise.

It all kicks off from 7:30pm and tickets (£7 in advance) can be purchased from www.thisfeeling.co.uk
