Review – Massive Waggons

Bristol O2 Academy – 7th December 2021

Well 45 minutes in the company of the 5 lads from up north was definitely not enough…

What a performance in Bristol on Tuesday night.

These chaps are solid gold rock n roll in the traditional sense. Even to the point the band is named after a barmaid they used to know. The perfect accompaniment to @thedarkness in that there is a high level of stage performance, great charisma and fun, ear worm tracks such as “Bangin in your stereo” from last years “House of noise” Album, which broke into the top ten on the UK album charts.

Front man Baz Mills is a whirlwind on stage and swings the mic stand around like a Viking swinging a broadsword. The crowd ate up the energy that the band provided. And we did too.

The Lancastrians have supported so many gods of rock, Status Quo, The Wildhearts, Lynyrd Skynrd that it’s now surely time for them to be the headliner… And when that headline tour is announced, count us at the front of the queue for a ticket
