Dream State—aptly named for a crew that thrusts you through the kaleidoscope of mental states, navigating the neural highways of your central nervous system. Hailing from Carmarthen, South Wales, birthed in 2014, the foursome are more than a band; they’re a lingering phantom, reborn from cosmic dust.
Enter Jessie Powell, the vocal medium channeling the band’s new output with an unstoppable force. Aled Evans, Jake Bowen, and Tom Connolly complete the fray, and Dream State is back in full swing with ‘Untethered,’ teasing the release of ‘Still Dreaming’ in 2024.
SWX was ground zero for a performance that future rock historians will etch in the annals. In a mere 9 tracks, featuring epics like “Still Dreaming” and “Comfort in Chaos,” SWX transformed into a realm of altered consciousness. Static silhouettes now writhed like lost souls between worlds.
“Chain Reactions” threatened a slowdown, a deceptive breather before the relentless onslaught of Dream State’s prowess.
