Bristol O2 Academy, 18th October 2022
UK Drill rapper Digga D brought his Noughty By Nature tour to the O2 Academy in Bristol on Tuesday.
Arriving at the venue, I was astonished to see the amount of people lining the street outside the Academy; the queue was lining all the way up the street. Awaiting in anticipation, fans were treated to one support act, which was a DJ who played a mix of current hip-hop related bangers to hype the crowd up ready for the main act to take the stage. And take the stage he did…Digga D accompanied by a huge entourage of people, including a few hype men to get the crowd going. During his set, Digga entered the crowd numerous times to get more intimate with his fans whilst performing. It was refreshing to see an artist interact with their fans, and Digga did this constantly throughout his show and even took a few fans’ phones and recorded videos of him performing on stage for them to keep as a memory.
UK drill is becoming highly popular as a genre in today’s society and it’s exciting to see more new artists emerge onto this scene.
