Following the devastating impact of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria that have sadly killed 47,000 people, injured many others, and destroyed thousands of buildings, hospitals, roads and infrastructure in recent weeks, Motion announces a charity fundraiser rave on Saturday 1st April in the wake of a second round of earthquakes last week.
The event will host sets from Redlight, Royal T, Champion, Subshift and a very special guest TBA with all proceeds donated to the British Red Cross Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal to support the millions of people affected by the heartbreaking events and are in urgent need of help. These donations will be used to distribute essentials like food, water, and blankets, set up temporary shelters to support thousands of survivors facing freezing conditions, provide medical aid and crisis support, assist with rescue efforts, and provide psychosocial support to those who have been traumatised.
George Thoburn, Head of Marketing & Programming Manager at Motion, speaks on the importance of using his platform for change, “We will always strive to use our resources and platform to help raise money and awareness for important causes such as this, whether it’s on a local or global scale. Motion wants to support communities in every way we can, as we strongly believe community and togetherness are what raving is all about.”
Tickets are a £5 minimum donation, but the option to donate more will be available at checkout. If you can’t attend the event but still wish to donate, please visit the British Red Cross website which you can find below. Donation tickets are on sale now!
