GLUE SONG // NEW SINGLE & VIDEO, EUROPE & USA HEADLINE TOUR, TAYLOR SWIFT SUPPORT TOUR
beabadoobee has returned with her new single GLUE SONG. Teased via her social media and in recent live performances, including her NPR Tiny Desk Concert, the previously unreleased track has fast become an online fan favourite and is her first new music since the release of her second studio album Beatopia last year.
Beloved for her ability to craft touching, intimate love songs, GLUE SONG was written on the road while touring last year, and is reminiscent of beabadoobee’s more acoustic early work, elevated by a lush string section. The video, directed by Jacob Erland, was filmed in Bea’s home country of the Philippines.
With a timely Valentine’s Day release, Bea shares:
“I wrote a lot of this song while on tour across Australia and Asia in the back of cars and whilst traveling. It’s a heartfelt song that means a lot to me, a love song and the first one I’ve written in my new relationship. I usually write these songs that are sad; in the past even when it doesn’t sound sad, looking back the lyrics usually have been. For the first time this is just me being really happy. I’m in a really positive place for the first time in a very long time and feeling love.
“We recorded the song with my guitarist and producer Jacob in his house and added trumpets and strings. This song feels really personal, and I went to my home town in Iloilo to film the music video. It’s where I was born so that also added another personal touch to the song.”
2022 was a landmark year for beabadoobee, following the release of her critically acclaimed second studio album Beatopia via Dirty Hit, huge sell out tours in the UK, Australia, Asia and North America, USA TV performances and more.
Now comes her March headline EU tour and shows across the USA, both headline and supporting Taylor Swift on her forthcoming The Eras stadium tour. Tickets are on sale now and the full list of dates is below. Bea also recently played an intimate show at London Lafayette for a BRITS Week for War Child show during Independent Venue Week, for which she is an ambassador in its 10th anniversary.

Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Beatrice Laus began recording music as beabadoobee in 2017. At just 22 years old, beabadoobee already has two acclaimed albums and five sonically diverse EPs under her belt, while also receiving BRIT Award and BBC Sound Of nominations and won the NME 2020 Radar award. She has accumulated 4.6 billion streams worldwide and has a 3 million+ social reach with a huge, dedicated Gen Z fanbase.
beabadoobee’s highly anticipated debut album Fake It Flowers was released in 2020 to widespread critical acclaim (“a thrilling debut album from Gen Z’s newest guitar hero” NME 5*; “the charismatic star of the indie revival” The Times 4*; “at once raw and confessional, yet anthemic in scale” Dazed) and debuted at #8 in the UK album chart.
Her follow up Beatopia is a fantastical yet deeply personal world that was formed in the imagination of a seven-year-old beabadoobee and has been carried with her ever since. Beatopia debuted in the Top 5 of the UK album chart and was accompanied by her biggest sold out UK tour to date, a huge North America tour and her first Asia tour. Beabadoobee has toured globally, supporting the likes of The 1975, Halsey and Clairo, and in 2022 played at festivals worldwide, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Summer Sonic, Reading and Leeds and many more. This year she will open as main support on Taylor Swift’s stadium tour.
PRAISE FOR BEATOPIA
ROLLING STONE ★★★★
“Indie-pop prodigy Bea Kristi keeps growing in front of our eyes.”
THE TIMES ★★★★
“Laus shows a real feeling for sweet-voiced melodic guitar pop with fuzzy overtones. Talk sounds like a 1990s indie disco classic; Pictures of Us is delightfully wistful; and the whole thing rubs along with grungy charm.”
STEREOGUM – ALBUM OF THE WEEK
“Beatopia sounds like a promise. It sounds like the work of someone who will stick around, who will keep pushing and exploring.”
NME ★★★★
“The guitar hero trades teenage angst for self-acceptance on her second album, exploring a new sonic palette with confidence.”
LOUD & QUIET 8/10
“Beabadoobee is a voice of a generation.”
KERRANG! ★★★★
“The sheer range of sounds attempted here is impressive.”
PITCHFORK
“Bea Kristi’s second album is simultaneously heavy and light, dense and playful, melodic and dissonant.”
DORK ★★★★★
“Beatopia marks beabadoobee as an artist able to set her own terms. Inventive, playful and, at times, truly magical, it might be an imaginary world, but it’s one that everyone should pay a visit.”
DIY ★★★★½
“Beatopia shows growth without risking losing the charm that has made Bea a firm favourite.”
CLASH 8/10
“A formidable, agenda-setting songwriter.”
THE LINE OF BEST FIT 8/10
“Beatopia highlights an artist who has matured quickly, honing her initial work while impressively expanding her aesthetic scope.”
CRACK 7/10
“The most realised version of her vision yet. The success of Beatopia lies in the expansion of beabadoobee’s sound in all the right places.”
