Move out of the way! bow mother fucker’s, bow mother fucker’s coming through
Saint Agnes are heading our way and will incinerate all before them when they play what is certain to be a sold out Crofters Rights on Sunday, October 24t
Spitting venom in the form of “repent”, making your chest explode with the dirty bass of Diablo take me home. And rapturing your ears with the dusty spaghetti western sounds from “Welcome to Silvertown”.
Very few tickets remain so be quick because we guarantee this WILL be the best gig in town.
We have been excited for this since it was announced way back in March in conjunction with the release of the dynamite “Vampire” ep. And we can easily rate Saint Agnes as our stand out find during lockdown. Initially coming across the incredible video and track “Daughter of Lucifer” and being instantly hooked enough to download every piece of music we could lay our hands on.
The shared vocal duties between Kitty Arabella Austen and Jon James Tufnell showcase a chemistry that is incredibly rare and intense. And enable them to produce a sound, with fellow band members Andy Head (drums) , Ben Chernitsky (bass) that is raw, gritty and unashamedly in your face. If the misfits of society took control Jon and Kitty would be our king and queen.
The band have quickly established a vociferous following, built off the back of intense touring all over Europe in bars and clubs that most would fear to tread. That blooding of their live sound has provided the band with a swaggering, stage confident performance level that enables them to instantly click with their audience. There is a lot of very justified hype around this East London band, that has seen them noticed by Download festival, who simply had to have them on the main stage this summer. Those gathered in front of them soon swooned to worship at the alter of Saint Agnes.
They are forging their own path and telling their own story in their own way. As evidenced in the change in sound between 2019s Welcome to Silvertown, 2020’s The Family Strange EP and 2021’s Vampire EP. All have that distinctly Saint Agnes vibe, but all are very different chapters from a book that has a lot of exciting pages left to be written.
You need to see this band live, you need to see this band now. This will be one of those bands that you want to be able to tell your friends you were there when they played Crofters Rights.
