It seems we aren’t quite done with the Halloween vibe yet as The Bristol Gig Guide prepares to worship at the alter of the Birdman this Saturday.
Recommended to us by various other people within the Bristol Scene as a must see live band. Saturday will see us finally get to feature Birdman Cult as they gather their disciples at Rough Trade and line up with Keg, Kimbo Nice and Grandmas House.
Self described as lout rock, indie doom and post psych punk your eyes and ears are in for something of a treat, IF you give yourself over to The Birdman that is.
The band were formed through more of a calling than a gathering of like minded musical souls. The Birdman spoke and Joe (vocals, micro synth), Otis (guitar), Elo (guitar, vocals), Wokash (drums) and Hawk (Bass) were compelled into playing as loud as possible for the rest of time or face the consequences.
“Our live shows are us playing with the fear of the Birdmans condemnation should we not meet his expectations. If we don’t deliver the consequences don’t bare thinking about”.
So at least we know the band are motivated.
Find out for yourselves what the cult of the Birdman is all about. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are available in advance for just £5 from here
If you wish to indoctrinate yourself to the ways of the Birdman before Saturday however you can answer his call here
