Siren Day 2 Overview featuring Sean Paul, Eva Lazarus, Heartless Crew and Laid Blak at the Bristol Amphitheatre

Bristol Harbourside Amphitheatre, July 28th

If the forecast says rain, just crank up the heat instead, and that’s exactly what one of Bristol’s most beloved festivals did on Day 2.

International superstar Sean Paul turned up the temperature at the iconic Harbourside Amphitheatre on Friday night. Bringing the king of dancehall to the city was a major coup for Siren, reflected in the fact that tickets were sold out months in advance.

The vibe was electric as Bristol danced under a sea of umbrellas and steam rose from the stage like a sauna. The crowd had already been warmed up by a stellar lineup from the beginning. Local legends @official_laidblak and national treasures @heartlesscrew ensured that the vibe was all about partying from the moment the gates opened. And the only thing the attendees cared about pouring was the beer.

By the time @evalazarus took center stage and dried off the crowd with some mega pyro, nothing could dampen this atmosphere. Eva delivered and then some; it was the first time we had the pleasure of seeing her live show, and it felt more like a co-headliner. She absolutely owned every square inch of the main stage. We’ll be bringing you a full review and gallery for Eva later today.

The stage was set for the man! And Sean Paul did not disappoint, with a large entourage, a full band, and surely a private jet full of t-shirts brought to throw to the baying crowd. Again, look out for our full headliner review a little later, but when the crowd leaves singing your songs as they disappear into the Bristol night, you know it went off.

Siren deserves a lot of credit not only for the booking here but also for the genuine party vibe they always seem to create in the heart of the city. Another brilliant Bristol bash.
