INDUSTRIAL LEGENDS ANNOUNCE “OLD SCHOOL” ELECTRONIC SHOWS IN BRISTOL AND SOUTHAMPTON – APRIL 2023 –

Norwegian industrial-metal act COMBICHRIST is heading to Bristol and Southampton for two electronic shows this Spring.

Landing at Thekla in Bristol on 27 April and The Loft in Southampton on 28 April, Combichrist founder and core member Andy LaPlegua will be appearing with DJ accompaniment and promising an “Old School” electronic show.

The leading act of the industrial-core movement, Combichrist consists only of LaPlegua in the studio, often augmented by a revolving cast of musicians to put together infamously intense live shows.

Initially cutting his teeth in the seminal Norwegian hardcore bands My Right Choice and Lash Out, Andy LaPlegua segued out of that scene and into the electronic music world with Icon of Coil. In 2003 he founded Combichrist —  the project that would soon dominate his time —by merging his hardcore past and electronica present to make a singular, mechanical music monster.

Since releasing their first album ‘The Joy of Gunz’ in 2003, LaPlegua and Combichrist have toured the world several times, supporting friends Rammstein in 2009 across Europe and at their sold-out Madison Square Garden show in 2010.

In 2019 Combichrist released their latest record and ninth studio album ‘One Fire’, a retrospective of sorts that saw LaPlegua drawing on ideas from across the breadth of the group’s career. Last year, the group also completed their ‘Europe Not My Enemy Tour’, which included shows across twelve different countries.

Now set to return to the UK once again, Combichritst will be appearing for these intimate and unmissable electronic shows this Spring.
