Review – Wargasm

The Marble Factory, October 18th 2022

NEW GIG OF THE YEAR CONTENDER

60 mins of beautiful, unadulterated, primal carnage & chaos…

If you’ve seen Wargasm live before you know what your in for. If you’ve not then it must be the equivalent of being hit by a freight train.

Make no mistake Wargasm are now firmly established as power players in the UK’s new cyberpunk revolution of metal.

From stage entrance to stage departure the duelling duo that is Sam Matlock & Milkie Way wrought a tsunami of noise, light & colour on a packed Marble Factory crowd as they brought their Explicit Tour juggernaut crashing through Bristol. Exploding on to stage with “Super Fiend”, “D.R.I.L.D.O” & “Salma Hayek” the band were super charged and the crowd fed off that energy like vampires. Mosh pits, circle pits & clash pits breaking out all over the arena floor.

The 13 strong set was exactly what you come to expect from Wargasm. Full throttle, full time… absolutely no let up. Throwing “Rage All Over”, “Fukstar” and “Lapdance” in the crowds face with all the combo power of a heavy weight boxer. Sam & Milkie both taking turns to surf the crowd, held a loft like deities of a new age. By the time the final notes of encore track “Spit” reverberated across the mass of sweaty, broken bodies that was once a crowd all that was left was for the venue to check its foundations were still stable.

The Marble Factory just got rocked.
