Bristol O2 Academy, 28th March 2022
So here I am, stood by the pit at the o2, it’s been a long day, so I attempt to shake the bitterness out of my system for what is set out to be a chaotic evening of punk. I hope this review does Chubby justice, because damn, they brought a show.
You wouldn’t be crazy for assuming these guys were headliners. The energy they arrived with immediately had the crowd under their command.
There were mosh pits from song one, and they didn’t seem to stop until they left the stage. Balanced with a dominant but charming energy from the frontman, their place on the stage felt well deserved.
Musically, the band were tight. Their chemistry and attitude seemed to resonate well with the crowd. Lyrics being belted back towards the stage told me everything I needed to know about these guys, and that’s that they’ve planted their feet firmly in the punk scene.
Gritty, confident, energetic, what more could you ask for.
