“Nuns Of The Tundra, oh how we’ve missed you 
NOTT headlined a hometown show at The Exchange this past Friday.
With this being their first show since New Years Eve 2020 
You’d forgive them for being a bit ring rusty, but there was not a hint of such a long hiatus as the boys made the walls of the exchange positively shake. This also their first chance to play recently written songs such as ‘C’est La Vie’ and ‘Low’.
NOTT have always been known for their live performances and atmosphere generation. Fridays return was no different, even finishing the show with a mini wall of death, no mean feat in the square box of the Exchanges main room.
I’m always partial to a band which brings a lot of emotion to their set, and Nuns were no exception which is evidenced by the energy put into their performance and in the photos. But they had more reason than most this time around. This was a show in memory of their former bassist, Tom who sadly passed away and never got the chance to play some of the songs he and the band had written together. The current band line up did him proud by putting their heart and soul into this evening’s performance, even bringing out Tom’s old bass guitar (the white coloured bass in some photos) which was an amazing tribute to their friend and band member.
There was never any doubt this was going to be an excellent way to spend a Friday night in Bristol, but the band really smashed it on their first gig in over 700 days, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do next, as I’m sure they have more exciting things to come in the not too distant future!”
