Dreadzone will return to Bristol this November to play The Fleece and have a new album to enthral live audiences with.
DREADZONE SINGLE CONQUEROR
The latest single, “Conqueror” is taken from the new album “NINE” which dropped at the beginning of October.
An energetic old-skool rave-flavoured dub tune with heavyweight bass Conqueror is a spiritual journey of
overcoming adversity featuring a classic Earl 16 and Spee twin vocal. A perfect introduction to a new phase of Dreadzone, this is the first single and was the first tune written for the new album NINE.
The single is accompanied by a black & white video featuring the band made by Blake Roberts.
Nine is the ninth official studio album from Dreadzone and a reflection of the last 5 years, a culmination of growing and re-inventing the Dread sound. Produced & arranged by founder, writer, and drummer Greg Dread with additional production & mixing by Bazil, with bass-master Leo Williams, Blake Roberts on guitar and Marlon Roberts on keyboards alongside new faces and voices joining Earl 16 and Spee on vocals on this album.
Nine also features LSK (Faithless), Cheshire Cat (Leftfield), Zoe Devlin (Alabama 3), and contributions from Don Letts and original Dreadzone member Tim Bran on mixing duties. The album features nine songs around themes of redemption and division, love and loss, and journeys inside and around the earth. It is released on the band’s own Dubwiser Records label, which is now in its 15th year.
Dreadzone has been releasing albums and progressively bettering, refining, and perfecting their own unique and inimitable take on dub since their inception in 1993. They have successfully navigated through an ever-changing musical landscape and have been a creative force now for over three decades.
